Since 1855, when the sons of pastoralists received the very first scholarships to Geelong Grammar, the kindness of donors has supported the School to grow from humble beginnings and lead the way in exceptional teaching and learning.
In 1914, the Falkiner brothers donated the Chapel of All Saints to the School.
And in 2005, a gift from the Austin family enabled the complete refurbishment of the Library at Bostock House.
To date, the total value of gifts to support scholarships is $24 million.
This tradition of giving continues today, at a time when we are committed to renewal – for current students and for those who come after them.
The Geelong Grammar Foundation was formed in 1976 to provide financial support for building priorities and scholarship programmes, as well as growing an endowment through gifts and investments to provide ongoing funds. As of March 2024, the Foundation corpus is valued at $77 million.
