The annual South Australia Biddlecombe Society lunch was held in the committee room at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday 4 September.
We were delighted to have our Principal, Rebecca Cody, attend along with our guest speaker Ollie Lord (M’20). Ollie was drafted to Port Adelaide in 2020 and was kind enough to spend time with us with the AFL finals looming large on the horizon. Ollie spoke about his time at Geelong Grammar School and how his many experiences forged his character strengths of consistency and resilience, as well as being a solid team player within the structure of the football club. Ollie’s grandmother, father, uncles and brothers all attended the School, and he appreciated the depth of attachment over many decades.
Three new members received their pins and, as with every year, and as with each year at this event, the gathering was extremely positive and cordial.
